Ceremonies, parades, contests, pageants, entertainment and other activities held during the first week of June. Although there are vents all over the Grand Strand, most (like the construction of the worl's tallest sand castle) take place at or near Plyler Park. Other activities include a beach tennis and volleyball tournaments, an air show, a 5K run, beauty pageants, and numerous concerts from local and national performers. There are also bocce ball, horseshoe, and watermelon eating contests. And there's plenty of things for the kids' to do as well!
